Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1156149A2] The laundry dryer has a laundry drum (2) through which process air is circulated and a heat pump (10) provided with a cooling device (12) and a heating device (13), through which the process air from the laundry drum is passed for drying via the cooling device before heating via the heating device, with subsequent return to the laundry drum. A portion of the process air can be vented and replaced with fresh air via a control (29) allowing a reduction in the circulated process air temperature.
