Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1156166A2] The flush cistern has a cistern body (2) for storing the water (3) for flushing. It also has a fill valve (17) for filling the cistern with water. An outlet valve (15) is provided through which the water is dispensed into the toilet. An actuator (5) triggers a flush. A control device (8) controls the flush and filling processes. Means (9,20,25,31,33) are provided for electronically detecting how full the cistern is. The level of water in the cistern is continually detected during the flushing process and the filling process.
