[origin: EP1156185A2] The mechanism has a crankshaft (1) arranged in a casing (2), which has at least two support points (22,23) and is driven by a drive (24), such as a gear mechanism. The crankshaft drives the machine with a number of piston rods (18-20), each through a crank mechanism (3-5). The crank shaft is over-mounted in the casing (2). The support positions (22,23) of the crank shaft are on either side of the central crank mechanism (4).
