Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2789912A1] Separation process with semi-permeable membrane(s) is claimed in which said membrane(s) comprise sulfonated polyimide. Separation process with semi-permeable membrane(s) is claimed in which said membrane(s) comprise sulfonated polyimide with general formula (I): C1 and C2 = tetravalent group comprising at least 6-10C optionally substituted aromatic ring and/or 5-10C optionally substituted heterocyclic ring with S, N or O as heteroatom; C1 and C2 forming cycles of 5 or 6 atoms with neighboring imide groups; Ar1 and Ar2 = 6-10C optionally substituted aromatic ring and/or 5-10C optionally substituted heterocyclic ring with S, N or O as heteroatom; at least one being substituted by a sulfonic group; or R1 and R2 = NH2 or group of formula (II); C3 = divalent group comprising at least 6-10C optionally substituted aromatic ring and/or 5-10C optionally substituted heterocyclic ring with S, N or O as heteroatom; C3 forming 5-6 atom cycle with neighboring imide group; m = 2-20; n = 2-30; and o = 2-10. An Independent claim is also included for device using semi-permeable membranes.
