[origin: WO0052124A1] The present invention relates to bleaching, pre-soak, pre-treatment, and laundry detergent compositions comprising: A) a catalytically effective amount of a transition-metal bleach catalyst which is a complex of a transition-metal and a cross-bridged macropolycyclic ligand, for example, 5,12-dimethyl-1,5,8,12-tetraazabicyclo[6.6.2] hexadecane manganese (II) chloride, having formula (a); B) an effective amount of a stabilizing agent, said agent selected from i) one or more anti-oxidants; ii) one or more reducing agents; iii) and mixtures thereof; and C) the balance carriers and other adjunct ingredients; provided said composition is substantially free of any organic or inorganic peroxygen compounds.
