[origin: DE19909281A1] The invention relates to a method for the time-controlled metering of liquid products by means of a delivery device and a closure. The corresponding metering device (1) comprises a filling tube (2), a filling tube closure (3) and actuating elements (4, 5, 6) for opening and closing the filling tube closure (3).The aim of the invention is to minimize the effect of changes in product viscosity on an economical, time-controlled metering process while ensuring consistently high reproducibility of the metered-dose quantity in comparison to that achieved with magnetic-induction flowmeters. To this end the invention provides for a method according to which the product temperature in the direction of flow is measured upstream of the closure and the opening time of said closure is varied in accordance with product temperature. The device is characterized in that a control unit (11) and actuating elements (4, 5, 6) for the filling tube closure (3) are controlled by means of a temperature sensor (7) which is situated upstream of the filling tube closure (3) and is in thermal contact with the product.
