Abstract (en)
The clasps (2) are made of a precious metal, have two elastic arms (4) which have small hooks (6) at one end, and are joined with a ring shaped segment (8) at the opposite end. The arms (4) are inserted into a small metal pipe (14) until the hooks (6) engage with matching grooves (16) at the inner surface of the pipe (14). Each chain link consists of two clasps (2), inserted into opposite openings of the pipe (14) in a right angle. The next link is joined by guiding one arm (4) of a clasp (2) through the ring shaped end (8,10) of the adjacent clasp (2), the next pipe segment (14) is added and so on.

Ein Kettenglied einer Schmuckkette hat zwei Klammern (2), die von entgegengesetzten Enden in ein Rohr (14) eingesteckt sind und jeweils zwei Schenkel (4) aufweisen, welche von einem Kopf (8) wegragen und gegen Federrückstellkraft biegbar sind.
