[origin: EP1157787A1] The method employs two or more simultaneously actuated driven working pistons (AK1,2) to apply equi-directional impacts to an anvil (10). All working pistons have independent control, and are mainly operated with the same impact frequencies. One piston may acts as control piston and act with a second one. Alternatively, one working piston acts with a control piston (SK1), which also actuates a second working piston.
