[origin: EP1158118A2] An interactive participatory water play system for entertaining and educating small and intermediate-age children is disclosed. The invention provides a pull-rope actuated water play structure that has associated with it a conduit system for supplying water from a pressurized source and a plurality of water play elements disposed on the play structure that allow participants to observe and experiment with various cause-and-effect reactions. Further, the pull-rope actuated water play structure provides a water forming device and a pull-rope actuator for allowing play participants to create a water effect in addition to a buoyant device floating in a container which is adapted to cause an audible effect to surprise one or more play participants when the vessel is sufficiently filled with water. <IMAGE>
