Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1158241A2] The combustion chamber for a downdraft heating system has a multi-part structure with lateral covering bricks (4) and left and right longitudinal cover bricks (2,3). The cover bricks, together with a ceramic plate, form the incandescent fuel bed. A half section of the burning passage channel is scooped out of each longitudinal brick. The secondary air channels are recessed between the longitudinal cover bricks and the heat-resistant grid (5). The grid extends as far as the inner wall of the boiler, with a groove around it to take the sealing (6).
