[origin: DE19910710A1] The invention relates to a clamping chuck comprising a chuck body (1), in which a central cavity (4) for receiving the shank of a tool (W) to be clamped is provided for, and a clamping mechanism (6) which serves to fix a tool shank introduced into the cavity (4) in said cavity (4). A coolant channel is embodied in the chuck body (1) so as to supply coolant to the machine-side end of a tool (W) which is introduced into the cavity (4) and has an internal coolant supply. The clamping chuck is characterized in that the coolant channel in the chuck body (1) is a coolant supply pipe (10) which extends between the machine-side end of the chuck body (1) and the cavity (4).
