[origin: WO0051908A1] The invention relates to a top for commercial beverage cans which facilitates drinking and pouring. The top comprises a lid (D) which is fitted to the face and to the flange of the beverage can, which can be placed on the beverage can in a liquid-tight manner and which can be crimped onto the same. Said lid has an essentially flat lid bottom (1) and is provided on the periphery thereof with crimping means (2) which detachably crimp the lid (D) on the flange of the beverage can when applied to the same. The lid bottom (1) comprises, in the vicinity of the periphery thereof, an essentially tubular pouring spout (4) which is suited as a mouth piece, extends away from the lid bottom (1), and via which the contents of the beverage can flow out after the can is opened. The pouring spout (4) is provided with a reinforced opening rim (4a) on which a closing cap (5), said closing cap being connected to the lid (D) such that it is prevented from being lost, can be fastened in a detachably sealed manner.
