[origin: WO0053803A1] The invention concerns a single-strand nucleotide fragment comprising a sequence of at least twelve adjacent nucleotide motifs capable of being hybridised, in conditions of high stringency, with SEQ ID NO: 1 or it complementary sequence. The invention also concerns the uses of said fragment as probe, primer, in a reagent and in a method for detecting a nucleotide sequence derived from pBR322 replication origin in a biological sample.
