[origin: WO0055610A1] There is described a method of determining the homogeneity of a fuel composition which comprises measuring the conductivity of the composition. There is also described a method of determining the homogeneity of a light fraction fuel wherein the conductivity is not less than 1 mS cm<-1> and of a heavy fraction fuel wherein the conductivity is not more than 1 mS cm<-1>. Fuel compositions possessing the conductivity values mentioned above are also described.
