[origin: WO0055628A1] The present invention provides methods and compositions for screening, diagnosis and prognosis of breast cancer, for monitoring the effectiveness of breast cancer treatment, and for drug development. Breast Cancer-Associated Features (BFs), detectable by two-dimensional electrophoresis of breast tissue are described. The invention further provides Breast Cancer-Associated Protein Isoforms (BPIs) detectable in breast tissue, preparations comprising isolated BPIs, antibodies immunospecific for BPIs, and kits comprising the aforesaid.
