Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19909723C1] The invention relates to an inscribable safety foil, especially for use in the field of motor vehicles, and to a method for inscribing said foil. The safety foil contains a diffusionable (7) identification medium that is released or fixed in a locally selective manner by means of a contactless inscription process. Once the safety foil has been glued on a substrate (14), the identification medium (3) produces a permanent marking of the substrate thereby ensuring unequivocal identification of the object concerned.
