Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19911712A1] According to the invention, radio blocks having different split coding are split in a channel formed by a random access time slot and can optionally be transmitted in a split manner. These measures help keep the collision probability low. In order to vary the data rate, one or two radio blocks can be transmitted in every time slot during a connection. Flexibility is further enhanced by transmitting simultaneously and in a split manner two radio blocks with different split coding, which have a comprehensible relation to each other on the receiver side. The invention shows that even in random access channels (RACH), limitation of capacity as a result of channel estimation does not entail limitation of transmission capacity.
