The stretch grid structure is formed by cuts (2a) of equal length, offset from each other in parallel rows, in a length of material (1) e.g. aluminum. The cut material is stretched on a direction (A) across the line of cuts so that the material contracts freely across the stretching direction, and the cuts open out (2b,2c), with material bonding points (3) between them. The material width is contracted during stretching to a size which is determined by the stretching force applied, to give a three-dimensional profiled stretched grid length.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Streckgitters, bei dem eine mit zueinander versetzten Einschnitten (2a) versehene Materialbahn (1) in einer Richtung (A) quer zur Schnittlinie gestreckt wird, und die Materialbahn quer zur Streckrichtung frei kontrahieren kann. Die Materialbahn (1) kontrahiert in ihrer Breite während des Streckvorgangs auf ein Maß, das nur durch die während des Streckvorgangs auf die Materialbahn ausgeübte Streckkraft bestimmt ist. <IMAGE>
