[origin: EP1160061A1] The machine has a table (1) to hold the sheets (9) to be cut and a feed bracket, to move the sheets towards the cutting plane of a cutting knife (5). The feed bracket is held on its lower side on slides (18), which support the sheets to be cut in the area of the end face (19) of the feed bracket and bridge the space between the feed bracket and the table. The feed bracket is preferably rake-shaped, with the rake tines (16) in one plane, perpendicular to the table surface (2) and parallel to the cutting plane.
