Abstract (en)
A servo chain drive conveys packing trays (4) filled with packing items in a cycle into a sealing unit to seal them there in a sealing device (11) with a covering foil (1). After being sealed, the completed packets (8) are fed in a cycle to a cutter unit and then passed on to be covered with foil rolled off a roller (17). A positioning device has first and second photocells (5,6) and a foil brake (7) between the photocells. An Independent claim is also included for apparatus for packaging.
