Abstract (en)
A fiber finish which prevents the emission of snow on the surface of polyamide fibers and the like during long-term storage so as to prevent fluffs, ends down and decreased knit fabric quality in down-stream processes caused by the snow, and imparts high cohesion to synthetic filament. The finish contains (a) a urethane compound produced in the reaction of a polyhydric alcohol having 12 or more carbon atoms and an organic diisocyanate, or (b) an amide compound produced in the reaction of a polycarboxylic acid having 12 or more carbon atoms and an organic diisocyanate. Above all, the urethane compound produced in the reaction of a dimeric alcohol having a molecular weight of 300 to 1,000 and an organic diisocyanate, and the amide compound produced in the reaction of a dimeric acid having a molecular weight of 300 to 1,000 and an organic diisocyanate are preferable.
