[origin: EP1160405A1] The hoop lock has a lock body (10) to take the ends (14) of a hoop (12) within force cells (16) at each end side. Each force cell has a locking system (18,20), operated by a lock mechanism (22). Each locking system has at least one bolt (18) which holds the inserted hoop end against the other side of the force cell while supported by a U-shaped profile (17). Each cell has a protective wall (36) against drilling and/or impact blows.
