[origin: EP1160516A1] The air-conditioning unit has a first module (1) with a housing positioned within the room to be air-conditioned, containing an evaporator (2) and a second module (3) positioned on the outside of the room, containing a condenser (4), with electrical and cooling medium lines between the 2 modules. The condensed water for the condenser is received by a collection container (5) which can be emptied via an opening normally closed by a cover, or which is formed by part of the base of the second module, provided with a discharge line leading to a discharge opening.
