Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0905469A1] The hand gun is designed to fire non-lethal projectiles from a barrel (1) and has a projection (2) above the barrel which prevents the projectile from being fired from a range of less than 30 mm. The projection is cylindrical in shape and resembles an additional barrel, while the projectiles, which are at least 11.6 mm in diameter, are fired from cartridges contained in a revolving magazine (3). The magazine is made from a plastics material, e.g. reinforced with short glass fibers, and the projectile cartridges are fixed inside it so they cannot be removed without damaging the magazine. The cartridges can comprise the projectiles, powder and percussion caps alone, with the magazine chambers (5) forming the cartridge walls.
