[origin: WO0054713A1] The invention relates to a dressing for covering wounds located in the tip area of extremities, such as fingers and toes, comprising an antiseptic sanitary cotton area (1) as well as an adhesive area (4) for fixing said dressing to the extremity. The invention is characterized in that the sanitary cotton area (1) has at least one dimension which approximately corresponds to the surface of the tip area, and in that openings (2) are provided in the support layer around the sanitary cotton area (1). A fixing aid (3) in the form of a string is threaded through said openings and, when tightened, causes the sanitary cotton area (1) to conform to the surface contour of the tip area. In addition, the invention is characterized in that the adhesive area (4) provided with an adhesive layer at least partially encloses the sanitary cotton area (1).
