A motorized tool (34) treats the surface of a piece to be worked on. A hood guard (40) encases the tool and supports a flexible sealer element (42) for applying the hood guard to the surface to be treated and sealed. The sealer element takes the form of a sealing brush (43) and is held in a springy fashion on the hood guard by one or more flexible elements.

Eine Handwerkzeugmaschine, insbesondere ein Betonschleifer, weist ein motorisch antreibbares Werkzeug (34) zur Bearbeitung insbesondere der Oberfläche eines Werkstücks und eine das Werkzeug (34) umgebende Schutzhaube (40) auf, die am unteren Randbereich (39) ein nachgiebiges Dichtelement (42) trägt, mit dem die Schutzhaube (40) zur Abdichtung auf die Oberfläche des Werkstücks aufsetzbar ist. Das Dichtelement (42) in Form einer Dichtbürste (43) ist mittels mindestens eines flexiblen Elements (50) federnd an der Schutzhaube (40) gehalten. Dadurch ist das Dichtelement werkzeuglos leicht auswechselbar. Dessen Borsten (46) sind weniger beansprucht, wodurch die Lebensdauer des Dichtelements (42) erhöht ist (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
