Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0152679A1] The invention concerns a device consisting of a top cover (1) and an insert in the form of a shaft (5) implanted in the thickness of the front part of a sole (9) and forming an articulated system, designed to control the flexural rigidity of a shoe, in particular a snow surf boot, or designed to protect the front face of the boot partly or completely. All the elements forming the system are detachable. The articulation which it defines provides the cap with anteroposterior mobility which, in closed position (1/15), is pressed against the front face of the boot. Linked thereto by the boot's own retention means, the top cover (1), thanks to the properties and the shaping of the materials of which it is comprised, provides the boot with resistance to crushing and flexural and torsional deformation in its front part in use.
