[origin: WO0056205A2] The invention relates to a computer-assisted patient monitoring system, comprising data sensors (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) assigned to the patients and at least one computer (8), wherein at least some of the data sensors designed to continuously detect data are connected in series to wireless data transmitter (19),which sends data online to one of the receivers (20) assigned to one of the computers (8). Several data sensors (9, 11, 12, 17, 18) are provided to control the fluid metabolism of the patient, which detect data pertaining the ingestion and excretion of fluid to or from the patient (7). The computer (8) forms a data collecting and data monitoring or data comparing unit which triggers an alarm in case predetermined deviations from stored basic data occur.
