Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0058446A1] The present invention relates to human protein kinase B gamma polypeptides and to nucleic acid molecules coding for such polypeptides. The invention further relates to vectors and cells comprising said nucleic acid molecules, as well as to methods for screening test compounds which affect the insulin signaling pathway. In contrast to the previously known protein kinase B gamma from rat brain, the human protein kinase B gamma polypeptides comprise two activating phosphorylation residues; Thr<305> and Ser<472>.
