[origin: FR2791360A1] The invention concerns a novel regulating COMTII promoter sequence inducible in response to a mechanical or chemical injury, or in response to aggression by a pathogenic agent, in particular bacterial, fungal or viral, or by an insect or a threadworm. The invention also concerns a chimera gene (or expression cassette) comprising the inventive regulating promoter sequence controlling the expression of a heterologous coding sequence and host organism comprising said chimera gene, the transformed plants containing it and the seeds of said transformed plants.
