Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0058559A1] The aim of the invention is to provide an arrangement of grinding modules in a track grinder. According to the inventive arrangement, the radial mismatch in narrow track bend radii can be considered in an exact manner without the occurrence of constraining forces, enabling reprofiling to be reproduced in a simple manner. The arrangement is characterised in that the grinding tool is provided with five degrees of freedom. Each grinding module is accommodated in an at least approximately vertical manner with a frame and in an at least horizontally manner on the frame with a holder. A housing in the holder is pivotably arranged around a shaft that is at least approximately parallel to the track to be ground. The grinding tool in the housing can be adjusted in a rectangular manner in relation to the track to be ground.
