[origin: GB2348479A] A lighting fixture 1 comprises a main casing 2,3, housing a light source and at least one lens, and a support member 10 carrying the main casing such that it can be rotated through 360{ about its optical axis. A plurality of bearing members (15,fig.3) are located between the main casing and the support member, each has a central pad secured to the support member's circular surface (17,fig.3) by a bolt (18,fig.3) and a pair of flanges (19,fig.4) engaging in parallel grooves (16,fig.4) on one of the main casing's two circular tracks. Locking means to prevent rotation of the main casing comprise a screw-threaded member (20,fig. 3) carried by the support member which can press the bearing into contact with the casing. The bearings are made from a resilient material to accommodate expansion of the casing caused by heat. At least one lens may be a glass gradient index lens.
