[origin: GB2348701A] Assays, mimetics (peptidyl or non-peptidyl), screening methods and methods of use are described which are based on the discovery of the direct interaction between the FHA 1 of domain of the <I>Saccharomyces cerevisiae</I> Rad53p protein and phosphorylated peptides. Preferably the phosphopeptide comprises the sequence Thr(P)-X-X-Asp wherein (P) denotes a phosphorylated Threonine. Modulators of the interaction are, for example, single chain antibodies.
