[origin: WO0131577A1] The invention relates to a data carrier the data of which are protected by a biometric sensor (4) from unauthorized used. Said sensor compares the read-out biometric data with stored biometric data. Only if these data correspond, the stored data to be read out from the data carrier are made physically readable by an activation function, either by transmitting the data to a readable zone (2) on the data carrier or by switching off a disturbance field produced over the zone to be read out once the biometric sensor is activated.
