[origin: WO0057379A1] A security tag film comprising: a carrier sheet; a layer of a pressure and/or heat sensitive adhesive; and a security structure located between the carrier sheet and the layer of adhesive, the security structure comprising: an active layer of a soft magnetic material; and a patterned deactivation layer of a hard or semi-hard magnetic material located in proximity to the active layer so that magnetisation of the deactivation layer may disrupt the uniformity of magnetisation of the active layer.
