[origin: EP1163964A1] Apparatus for introducing a gaseous treating medium into a container filled with liquid metal comprises a metallic inner tube (1) with a metal casing (5) to secure a refractory jacket (4) penetrated by an outlet channel. The casing consists of at least two corrugated rods (6) having a rounded outer cross-section fixed to the inner tube. Preferred Features: The corrugated rods are formed as a helix and have a circular or oval cross-section. The rods are hollow and are shrunk onto the inner tube.
