[origin: EP1164293A2] The gear pump for dosed feed of paints has a flushing passage system to flush the gaps between the gearwheels, drive and bearing shafts and pump casing. The flushing passages(11-14) in the region of the drive shaft(6) are arranged in such a way that the flushing medium flows through the bearing gaps(9,10) over the whole bearing width of the respective bearing points from the outside inwards in the direction of the end faces of the gearwheel.
