[origin: DE19910366A1] The invention relates to devices and methods for packaging a preferably flee-flowing bulk product. According to a first embodiment of the invention the device comprises a first revolving conveyor element (1) which presents at least one receiving device (2) for receiving portions of the bulk product. The bulk product is delivered to the receiving device by a delivery device (21, 22). The device also comprises a first device (31) for delivering a first strip of packaging material (30) which is arranged in such a way that after the bulk product has been delivered to the receiving device (2) said first strip of packaging material (30) can be placed on to the first conveyor element (1); and a second conveyor element (11) which revolves in the opposite direction to the first conveyor element (1), synchronously with same, and along a section (50) is at a short distance from the first conveyor element (1). In said section the portioned bulk product is transferred from the first conveyor element to the second conveyor element. A second device (33) for delivering a second strip of packaging material (32) is arranged in such a way that after transfer of the portioned bulk product from the receiving device (2) of the first conveyor element (1) to the second conveyor element (11) said second strip of packaging material (32) can be placed on to the second conveyor element (11). The packaged units are then removed from the second conveyor element, transferred to an embossing station and lastly separated in a separating station.
