[origin: FR2789910A1] Regeneration by combustion of a particle filter (6) placed in a vehicle combustion engine exhaust line (5), with a supply, upstream of the filter, of a solution containing components with at least one hydroxyl group, to facilitate the combustion of the particles. The solution supply is provided in the inlet for gases into the engine or in the fuel or directly into the exhaust gases. The solution is introduced continuously or for limited periods. An additional supply provides other chemical components such as iron, sodium or cerium, mixed directly with the fuel. A catalytic phase is deposited on the filter, which also has an energy supply. The solution is aqueous and/or contains alcohol.
