[origin: WO0155594A1] The invention relates to a refrigerant compressor comprising a compressor housing (10), at least one cylinder chamber (12) arranged in said compressor housing, a piston (14) which can be displaced in an oscillatory manner inside the cylinder chamber (12), and an intake chamber (34) which is arranged upstream from the cylinder chamber (12) and from which refrigerant enters the cylinder chamber (12). The inventive compressor also comprises a pressure chamber (38) which is connected downstream from the cylinder chamber and into which refrigerant compressed in the cylinder chamber enters, and comprises a damper channel (60) which extends between a first end (64) and a second end (66) and via which compressed refrigerant flows from the pressure chamber (38) into the discharge channel (80). The aim of the invention is to further optimize a refrigerant compressor of the aforementioned type with regard to the damping of pulsations and to the spatial requirements. To this end, the invention provides that the damper channel (60) comprises an inlet opening (74) that is located between the first end (64) and the second end (66).
