Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0060318A1] The invention relates to a dosing device (D) for dispensing metered doses of liquid media from a container (1) which comprises a lid (6) which covers the container neck (3) and a cup-shaped insert (8) assigned to the neck and is immovably joined to a pump plunger (17) which fills the cup-shaped insert (8) with a liquid (2). The invention provides for a dip tube (14) which leads to the interior of the container (14) and reaches as far as the insert (8). To create a dosing device of this type which has a simpler structure and is easier to use the invention provides for the pump plunger (17) to have a hollow shaft (18). Said shaft houses the end (14') of the dip tube (14), which end protrudes beyond the base (15) of the insert (8), in such a way that a flow area (20) remains between the outside (a) of the dip tube (14) and the inner wall (b) of the plunger shaft (18). In this way liquid (2) which has flown out of the dip tube opening (21) can run off in the direction of the base (15) of the insert (8).
