Casting machine has a casting chamber (4), in which liquid metal is poured into a mold (12) via a drain (8). Several molds are arranged in the casting chamber on planar bearing surfaces (11) of a casting wheel rotating about a horizontal axis. The casting wheel forms a polygon having a regular cross-section whose casing surface is formed by the bearing surfaces. Preferred Features: The casting chamber is a vacuum chamber connected to a melting furnace (1) via a sluice valve (6), and the drain is connected to a jet (7) traveling from the casting chamber through the valve into the furnace. A cast part collecting container (13) is arranged on wheels (15) below the casting wheel.

Eine Gießmaschine (3) zum Gießen von Metall, welche eine geschlossene Gießkammer (4) hat, in der über einen Ausguss (8) flüssiges Metall in eine unterhalb des Ausgusses (8) angeordnete Kokille gießbar ist, hat unterhalb des Ausgusses (8) ein um eine horizontale Achse (16) drehbares Gießrad (9). Diese Gießrad (9) hat die Form eines regelmäßigen Vielecks. Seine Mantelfläche ist durch ebene Auflageflächen (11) gebildet, auf denen jeweils eine Kokille gehalten ist. Nach dem Füllen einer Kokille taktet das Gießrad (9) um eine Position weiter, wobei die nächstfolgende Kokille unter den Ausguss (8) gelangt und aus einer anderen Kokille ein erstarrtes Gussteil in einen Gussteil-Sammelbehälter (13) fällt. <IMAGE>
