Measurement equipment (32) determines the position of each printed product (2) in the cutting station (A) before reaching the cutting position. The measurement controls the cutting conveyor (7), correcting any departure from the desired position, during further conveying.

Die Schneidmaschine ist mit einem auf- und abbewegbaren Messer (3) und in einer Schneidstation (B) ausgebildet. Vorgesehen ist zudem eine Einlauftransportvorrichtung (6) für den Transport der Druckerzeugnisse (2) zur Schneidstation (A) und eine Schneidtransportvorrichtung (7) für den Transport der Druckerzeugnisse (2) in der Schneidstation (A). Es sind Messmittel (32) vorgesehen, mit denen in der Schneidstation (A) vor Erreichen der Schneidposition die Lage jedes Druckerzeugnisses (2) in einem bestimmten Abstand zu Frontschnitt (57) gemessen wird. Die Schneidtransportvorrichtung (7) ist aufgrund dieser Messung so gesteuert, dass eine Abweichung von der Solllage beim Transport korrigiert wird. <IMAGE>
