Abstract (en)

The carding machine, with a drum and a doffer, has a controlled system to affect the transfer factor i.e. the portion of the fiber mass at the drum clothing which is to be transferred to the doffer on each full drum rotation.. The transfer factor at a carding machine, and the like, is affected by action on the clothing of the drum and/or the doffer, as described in EP403989. The controlled system has one or more actuators. They are activated for at least one operating parameter e.g. the rotary speed of the licker-in; the drum rotary speed; the rotary speed of the doffer; the ratio between the drum and doffer rotary speeds; the gap between the drum and the licker-in and doffer; the position and setting of the fiber/air guides; the position and profile of the lower curved shrouding in relation to the lower section of the drum; the settings in the following carding zone and especially the covering profile and/or the carding elementals in the card production; or the gap between the feed roller and the licker-in. The controlled system to affect the transfer factor can be activated while the carding machine is in operation.

Abstract (de)

<IMAGE>
