[origin: EP1167647A1] The facade cladding comprises several components consisting of insulating plates formed by at least two parallel, spaced apart plates joined together by a distance profile in the edge area. Each of the outer plates turned away from the structural side projects with its edge areas over the inner plates. On each face side of each insulating glass plate is a holding part connectable with a building-side post or beam, which by means of adhesive and/or sealing materials is connected with the all-round projecting edge area. The holding part (1) is connected directly with the beam or post (5) with clamp components (4) or with a pane profile (6). In the holding part is a groove (3), in which a clamp component (4) for fixture of the facade cladding to a beam or post can be introduced.
