Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1167701A1] The holder (1) for the valve stem of an internal combustion engine's lift valve has two cone elements(3,3') which extend up to the height of the end of the stem. A pressure plate (6) acting as a valve clearance compensating element bears against the upper end of the valve stem, with the maximum distance between the pressure plate and valve stem being 0.5mm. The pressure plate protrudes above the spring cap (4) in the axial direction.
