Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1167860A2] A storage vessel (3) and filling station (2) are separate modules and individually portable. The filling station, with an evaporator, pump and cylinder-filling connections, can be set down from a vehicle. Cylinder connections, when operational, allow space for cylinders (6) or cylinder palettes. They can be raised or swung up. The storage vessel can be connected to the filling station with a dead space-free coupling and line. A second separate line which can be shut off, joins filling station and the head space of the storage vessel. Preferred Features: The filling station has a lifting system and a hinged sidewall. Its support for cylinder connectors can be lowered to cylinders on palettes. It is located on the underside of, or on a side wall of the filling station. The filling plant has valves for gas venting from storage. Meters in the filling line measure the weight of gas, gas pressure and temperatures. The lines connected to the storage vessel are connected to a high pressure pump; gas evaporated in the pump is recycled.
