Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0152298A1] The invention relates to a unit consisting of a reflector and a high-pressure discharge lamp. The inventive unit comprises a high-pressure discharge lamp (3) that is arranged in an axle of the reflector (2), a first base component (4) that is connected to the neck (16) of the reflector (2) and a second base component (5) in the form of a mechanic annexed component that is arranged in front of the outlet for radiation and light, whereby said outlet pertains to the reflector (2). According to the invention, the end of the second current supply (18) of the high-pressure discharge lamp (3) is directly and electrically connected to the end of the second high-voltage cable (7) and said free connection area is embedded into the second base component (5), whereby said current supply is guided towards the second lamp shaft (10). Great high-voltage firmness and strain relief is thus obtained in said lamp connection.
