[origin: EP1169938A1] The applicator for cosmetic has a container with an applicator head having a discharge opening. The opening (30a) opens into a cavity (25) spaced from the application surface. The cavity is shaped so that the application surface is supplied mainly from one area (25a) of the cavity. The cavity has a second portion communicating with the first, to collect all or some of the excess cosmetic on the application surface.
