Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19919149A1] The invention relates to homodimers and heterodimers consisting of peptide monomers which have the amino acid sequence WDETLLKFYTELYQQL (monomer I), SLFSCLKDRHDFGFPQEEFGNQ (monomer II) or QGVGVTETPLMKEDSILAV (monomer III), or variants thereof. The homodimers or heterodimers bind to the interferon alpha 2 receptor and can optionally trigger a cellular signal. Said dimers are suitable for treating diseases of the immune system, diseases which are linked to increased or reduced cell-proliferation, infectious or inflammatory processes, or for detecting diseases which, for example, are linked to a modified expression of the interferon alpha 2 receptor, or to an expression thereof which is too high or too low.
